Kids multiplayer racing game for Mercedes-Benz using Anki Overdrive cars, Multipeer Connectivity and Core Bluetooth — coping with incomplete high-speed track readings so 1–4 players could race on iPad.
For Mercedes-Benz we built a kids’ car game using Anki Overdrive and iOS.
I developed a 1–4 player experience with the Anki SDK, Multipeer Connectivity and Core Bluetooth. After mapping touch and accelerometer controls, the hard problem was racing itself: Anki road pieces encode IDs the cars read, but at high speed those readings fail — so the game logic had to cope with incomplete track data while still feeling fair and fun.
